Cherry Blossom

Sometimes things just have a way of working out. I was shooting these cherry blossoms when the new, heavy-duty light I had purchased not two hours before decided to self combust. At first, I thought it was a power outage, but I still wanted to keep shooting. I had the idea to take advantage of the settings I was already using to shoot. The timer I was using to prevent camera shake let me maneuver myself into position by my light tent. To light the subject, I took advantage of the long exposure time to trigger my flash manually by hitting the “test” button while the shutter was open.

As glad as I am with these images though, Home Depot still owes me a new light.
