So, I’ve been shooting pretty much every day but have fallen behind in posting. This was the Kent Cider Fest I shot really quick on my cell phone camera on a walk. Go full screen to see the captions.
Sometimes the machine needed a bit of convincing to work.
Fresh squeezed cider samples.
Not all of the apples made it into the cider. Part of a quick story package I put together on my phone complete with video.
Some of these apples were too big for the press and had to be cut.
Maybe this will make up for the fact that I never did the obligatory ‘bowl of fruit’ still life.
I tried the hopscoth. I think I messed up because a group of girls laughed at me.
The apple pulp that has to be cleaned out of the press.
The foam froth that collects at the top of the fresh cider can actually be eaten. It tastes exactly like you think it would.
People attending the event could go up to the press and turn the crank to make cider.
Pulp from the apples collects in the basket while the cider collects in the bucket below.
