Never underestimate what I can get done while I mean to be working on something else. I’ve been plowing through my to-do list the last few days, but things don’t seem to be coming together as much today. I got out of the house and went to Scribbles, my favorite coffee shop, thinking that the change in atmosphere would help. I wound up just shooting around the shop on my cell phone instead. It’s nice being the featured artist for this month here. When people see me shooting, I can just point to the walls and say, “Yeah, I’m the guy who did those.” The feeling is far more satisfying than it should be.
The light through the front window was absolutely gorgeous.
I love these little lights, especially how they look in the window.
I am currently the featured artist at Scribbles. Today, one guy was asking about an artist’s statement, and the barista just pointed to me and said, “You can go ask him.”
I love these little light way more than I should.
The tables are all covered with blank paper with jars of crayons nearby. Every time I come here, I get to see some killer art.
Scribbles was recently “yarn bombed” by a local knitting group. Almost every seat has a little cozy on the back with a little poof. But I have to say, going as far as to make yarn bookmarks shows commitment and a definite eye for detail.
