One of the wonderful things about Karen is that she values experiences over objects. As my wedding gift to her, I paid for the two of us to go on a biking trip down a mountain. Since this is exactly the sort of thing that the GoPro was made for, I strapped it to my helmet as we went riding. I wanted to do a time lapse of the ride, but the transitions from field to forest messed with my exposure, mixed with the lack of stability for the helmet cam, meant there wasn’t enough consistency for a video. But, there I was able to pull some amazing single shots that I couldn’t wait to post.
It was an absolutely fantastic trip.
