Mixer at The Cleveland Museum of Art

Aaaaaaaaaannnnnnd I’m back!

I’ve got a newly repaired computer, functional internet, and my work schedule has a temporary lull. That is just in time to post photos from a recent event at the Cleveland Museum of art. There was live music, drinks, pumpkin carving, and plenty of art I could talk about with my friends so I could prove that three semesters of art history class weren’t a waste. The best part is that it’s a monthly event, and November’s centers around a fashion show! I can’t wait to go back again.

30 Day Photo Challenge 2: Something That Makes You Smile

Cadburry-edited8

Day 2 requires me to shoot “something that makes me smile.” I tossed around a few ideas, but ultimately settled on the seasonal wonders that are the Cadbury Cream eggs. These little guys are really the only reason that I tolerate Easter as a holiday at all, and I devour them in obscene quantities this time of year.

The photo seems off somehow. I think the lighting is catching on the foil is so strong that it makes the egg stand out too much, and feels apart from the background. While I’ve tried the Bokeh before, I’m not sure if works here as much as it has in my previous pieces here, and here.
