Ever wanted to be an amazing flow artist, but don’t have the time and resources to apply to practice and sweet gear? Well, thanks to modern technology, you can kind of pretend! At Friday’s shoot, the wonderful duo of Kassandra Morrison and Samantha Novak wore the GoPro while getting their flow on. Their names are linked to their Facebook pages, so go send them some love! And while you’re at it, check out VIRTUALVIBE and Zzr at Overclocked Remix, where they put together the song featured in the video.

Contrive
Seven Eleven
Who loves you guys? Even with crunch time going on at my day job, I still made it a point to come shoot the Contrive Summer Kickoff at Thursday’s. Then, I stayed up through the night to edit them, even though our internet had gone out. But, I persevered, finished the photos, and tracked down some WiFi to get all of you awesome people the event photos.
Coming out and doing regular event photos is a labor of love, but it is a time consuming one. So, if you want to help keep the lights on over here, it would be great if you would consider clicking the ‘Donate’ button off to the right. Every little bit helps me to keep coming out to support you guys.
Back to Thursday’s
The irony of getting more and more work as my professional life is taking off, is that I have less time to make blog posts, and I’ve been missing them. But, I was able to make some time to go back out to get some more flow photos over at Thursday’s in Akron. As much as I was missing the shooting, I was missing the people eve more, and it was great to be able to see everyone.
I experimented with black and white while editing. The goal being to emphasize form over the usual bright colors I focus on while editing these sorts of images.
Random Rab and Saqi at Beachland
With my schedule filling up with more work, I’ve had to cut back on how many of these events I can attend. But, I’m so glad that I came out to Beachland on Saturday night. I tend to hang out in the margins when I shoot, but I decided to try to reach out and everyone was fantastic. It was nice to finally feel like I was a part of an event rather than just shooting it
Samantha Novak’s Electric Forest Audition
I’m sure that anyone following the site remembers my shoot with the lovely and talented Samantha Novak. Those photos are actually just something that we shot on the side while working on her audition video to perform at the Electric Forest event this summer. Getting in would mean the world to her so, after you watch the video, go follow her on Facebook and YouTube. Then, share this around with anyone you can. She’s worked so hard for this, and any support will go a long way.
Following the Sign
How have I never gotten to shoot at this location before? I’m in this area all the time, but it wasn’t until Samantha Novak called me up for work on one of her projects that I got to see this fantastic sign outside Musica in Akron. Samantha, the promoter from the Beachland events, asked me to help her with a video audition to perform at the Electric Forest this year. We shot video at a couple of locations (and you’ll be seeing that video as soon as it’s finished), but slowed things down for some stills by this sign. She’s a great model, amazing performer, and just fun to hang out with. So, be sure to check out her page (https://www.facebook.com/SamanthaNovakPerformance) to keep track with all of the amazing work she’s doing.

Back to Beachland: Part 2 (Electric Boogaloo)
Just as promised, I’ve got part two of the Beachland event I posted yesterday. However; where yesterday featured more of the crowd and general performers, today’s focuses more on the stage headliner and performers. It couldn’t be helped. DJ Govinda was amazing and the dancers were nothing short of spectacular.
As always, if you like the photos, and want to support all of the work that goes into them, it would be fantastic if you could click that ‘Donate’ button over there on the right sidebar. At this point, the only way that I can continue to shoot these events is if I am making at least a little to cover all of the time I spend shooting and in post. I’m trying to upgrade my camera, (which will mean better event photos and video) so every little bit helps. If you don’t have the scratch to contribute financially, no need to worry. You can still help out the site by subscribing to me here on WordPress, sharing the gallery on social media with your friends, and ‘Liking’ my official Facebook page.
