Bees are a pain to shoot with my android because they’re too small and too fast for the focus to find them. The firefly was cooperative though.

The Gay Games
I was in a bit of a funk yesterday, but I can think of nothing better to snap me out of it than heading up to Cleveland for The Gay Games. It’s exactly what it sounds like, a sort of Olympics for the LGBT culture, and it was amazing. I didn’t get to see any of the actual sports, but I got to go to the after-party/festival event. I probably wandered off to shoot too much though. Everytime I met back up with my wife and our friend, Megan, kept telling me how everyone thought that they were a couple. But, come on, where else can you Golden Girl shirts, a light-up stilt girl, graffiti for a good cause, rainbow EVERYTHING, and some of the nicest people around?
I knew that these glasses would make a great detail shot, so I just hung out by this booth and waited for someone to come into position.
The entire city seemed to join in the spirit of the games.
About half my memory card was just pictures of this one woman.
I spent a while taking shots with my flash and a shutter-drag, but I wound up likeing this shot with the street light the best.
Bugs Everywhere!
I was tying up a tree for a neighbor when I noticed said tree was infested with these yellow caterpillars. Fortunately, they just seem to be munching on the leaves, and not doing any major damage to the plant.

My friend Anna has a birthday coming up, and since she was the one who taught me the basics of the live trace art I put on the site, I thought that I would a new design just for the occasion.
